Welcome to The NextGen Ministry Summit | Spring 2024

The NextGen Ministry Summit is a new one-day offering of The Revive Movement and the Mid Texas Conference of the Global Methodist Church.

OUR GOAL IS TWO-FOLD: 

    1. Assist students who are exploring a call to full-time vocational ministry and,
    2. To help resource persons who work with children, youth and emerging adults.

We desire to make disciples, preach the Gospel, and provide tools to help those serving the next generation of clergy and lay leaders in the traditional Wesleyan/Methodist heritage.

9:30 AM Gathering, Check-In, Coffee & Donuts
10 AM Opening Worship – Prayer & Welcome, Our purpose, Worship, The Word (featuring Michael Thornton and Rev. Shea Reyenga)

11 AM Break Outs I

    • Emerging Adult Topics – exploring issues facing emerging adults ages 18 to 25
    • Youth Ministry Trends – understanding current youth struggles and strategies for growth
    • Children Ministry Techniques – learning effective teaching methods for kids
    • Am I Called To Ministry? – discerning what it means to be called to full time vocational ministry

12 PM Lunch & Table Topics

1 PM Break Outs II

    • Emerging Adult Q&A – leaders will open up for a time of Q&A offering wisdom and insight
    • Youth Ministry Resources & Retreats – leaders will share ways to deepen impact for reaching youth
    • Children’s Ministry Curriculum – leaders will present specific resources to help develop children
    • Exploring My Ministry Type – leaders will offer personal and spiritual gift indicators to encourage students discern their call to ministry

2 PM Closing Communion – Featuring Bishop Scott Jones of the Global Methodist Church

The Revive Movement offers unique retreats and camps for men and women from children to adults. At these retreats, we gather for intentional prayer, deep worship, and live-giving fellowship.
